About: 95% complete on the construction. The video for step 16 did not come up for me. Generally was pretty easy to put together. I need to prune some trees to get closer to full sun for most of the day. It fits well into the limited space I have in this garden. Made some errors putting it together – like gluing the T-section on before placing the water distribution pot. Worked out a way round that….

I lost a chicken in my own backyard. I’m an aspiring veggie gardener but I need help in the gardening department because my garden is so overgrown and unruly that unbeknownst to me, my chicken decided to move out of her chook house and take up residence in the “lush” native grasses of my backyard.

After a full day of hard manual labour I discovered my lost chicken and her new residence, which she was very comfortable in, and appears to be conducive to high laying productivity!

About: Hi guys, I am very new to Mr Stacky but things are going well. I was recommended by my sister who had a couple of 5 tier systems. I am harvesting my rocket, lettuce, herbs and keeping up the watering, nutrients and plenty of sun. I’d love to win another system so I can plant more greens – being a vegan family – the more we plant the more we can eat! I love my Mr Stacky systems… they are brilliant!

About: Mr Stackys have been a great way to boost our growing space, by now being able to use the spots at the end of our garden beds. Really looking forward to adding some colour to the tops pots come spring. I love the white and am looking forward to the colourful flowers cascading down against the white pots. A tip- we drove a reo rod through the middle hole and into the ground. We have had huge winds and they cannot blow over. It also allows us to spin them, so each side gets sun.

About: This is my 4th Mr Stacky year, and I have been lucky enough to only rarely have had to buy lettuce and greens, since I purchased my second Stacky about 18 months ago. You do have to regularly check the water level and keep up with the A’s and B’s but the green gold reward is well worth it. 2022 – Sydney…….rain, wind and very little winter sun……Usually I seem to grow my greens easier in the winter, this year, the Stacky trolley has been a god send as I push the things around, into shelter to avoid the worst winds, and then out again on the off chance we have a sunny winter day.

My lettuce, which is usually prolific in winter, has struggled, but at least I planted some Kale and Silver beet late summer which has kept us going. I gave up buying supermarket lettuce as I end up throwing so much of it into the compost…. The seeds I have managed to germinate are so slow growing, but staying alive in Stacky, I hope they will take off once we get a bit of warmth… I love my Stacky’s, this is the least green they have looked since I started out, as I am constantly harvesting a few leaves, and the lack of sun is slowing the regrowth. I had to include the photo my greyhound photo bombed 🙂 He is a fan too……….. Good Luck everyone, and go Stack!!!

About: The Stacky system has been a great way to optimise space while producing a quality product… I have been trialing different herbs and leafy greens on a three tower system to see what grows best, with the aim to expand commercially with the best performers.

The simple automated system allows you to spend less time worrying about the operation and more time tweaking the inputs and observing the quick results. The system is a lot of fun and beats the hell out of growing in the ground! Looking forward to expanding, following some successful results this season.

About: One tower is great to start with but definitely needs more if crops intended for own cooking. Also after finding the tower tipped over on occasional windy days, make sure to have water container not depleted as it also serves as anchoring weight.

My photos show what is left of my winter garden. The slugs have had a fantastic time. The little plastic containers are for my yeast mixture to try and catch the slugs. Obviously, the slugs won! The grandkids did at least enjoy digging and playing in my old bathtub. Also, the sticks in the pot are also to try and keep the birds digging all my pots up! I’m pretty sure a Plant Tower will be a big step in changing my garden situation! A harvest would be really appreciated.

Oh dear I really need help please – call my thumb brown!
For the last 20 months, I have been renting, trying to grow fruit and vegies in pots . When my first rental was sold from under me, the removalists disappeared for two-hour lunches with all my plants in their truck on both day… temperatures over 40 degrees outside the truck.
I can’t blame them for everything that has gone to the Sulo Bin ( just a few fruit trees).

I have managed to kill in the previous small western courtyard:
• 20 window boxes of herbs
• Baby cabbage, cherry tomatoes, rocket, chervil, artichokes ( ok I didn’t realise how big they get and tried to transplant) , brussel sprouts, carrots and strawberries, saltbush, citronella, spinach and rocket
• I killed a couple of frangipanis, 2 blueberries and 1 raspberry . Too hot in a western courtyard
• All tropical origin inside plants and even succulents- too hot in the new rental.
• Avocados (4), lemons, lime, a bay tree , box of lettuces, tomato plant, peacherine , pear and mandarin, Kafir lime.
• I have tried to grow roses pots- that’s a 50/50. Haha !

I would love some help please with a wonderful, vertical Mr Stacky that can give a bountiful supply and wheeled around to find the right aspects with the seasons with self-watering. I would be forever grateful and promise to send photos of all seasons crops. I ready to try vegies again come spring for the summer!!!
My only success…..broccoli this winter ( in an eastern courtyard) with lots of caterpillars-has made me so happy! PS: My Property Manager is complaining about all the pots! I reckon a Mr Stacky could solve that problem! I now have a small northern veranda to try again this spring ready to trying again!

About: I really wanted a low maintenance garden, I know I’m not going to be out watering it everyday. I really appreciated this product is solar powered and water efficient. We are at three weeks with a mixture of seeds and seedlings, we spend every day going out and just looking at it, watching our food grow!!! I have only filled it with water once, in the three weeks we have had it. Really happy with our results so far!

Not only have I found my current systems time consuming they have been an absolute fail.

• My wicking bed is collapsing and has become a great resting point for the local brush turkeys
• My swanponics (which, instead of using fish I use swan poop) is currently growing moss and chives… useful not….
• My rehab aviary has 2 pots of lettuce. I would not call that a success.

I dream of lettuce,,, just lettuce,,,, mmmm lettuce.

About: Love how easy it is to grow food using mr stacky! I had my first hydro tower in 2019 on my balcony garden and when I moved to a house I had to add more towers! Best investment ever – simply sow seeds and fill up the reservoir then let the sun and the tower do their job! Few weeks later fresh produce at home.

About: After searching for traditional strawberry pots for months in Canberra to no avail we came across the Mr Stacky online. I had a heap of strawberry runners that needed planting and a toddler who is obsessed with strawberries so wanted to maximise our growing potential without having to tackle another garden project (we are in the midst of a whole garden reno, bit by bit) The Mr Stacky was a great, portable solution giving me no extra work. We’ve only had it for about two months so our plants aren’t very mature and the frost has given them a little damage but i’m sure over Spring we will be reaping in the rewards.

I’ve also shared a reel on Instagram of our Mr Stacky being set up which has over 14,000 views and gained a bit of attention for our little suburban patach.

Year after year I have tried to grow basil, lemon balm, and sage in a container. This is a photo of this years basil effort. In the background you’ll see a silver planter with what’s left of the basil that was planted in summer and infront, my current plant which is looking a little sad even though i’ve been keeping it inside and treating it like a house pet.

Any help on my herb growing efforts is so appreciated!
