Garden Fail # 48

Owner Name: Kym
Location: Point Cook, VIC

3 weeks ago my latest garden concoction was destroyed. This is the latest in a series of fails as I attempt to come up with a variety of temporary garden solutions to suit a “serving in the Army” lifestyle where we are required to move house every couple of years. This means selling or giving away plants and never investing in long term solutions. What’s the point? Therefore, i come up with solutions based on the temporary need at the time.

The photo attached is the aftermath of what I thought was an awesome DIY idea to combat the current cold weather. The indestructible 200kg shelving unit with custom plastic was blown over in the maelstrom-esc winds of Point Cook. My chippy wife said it was impossible. I believed her. Now, all my freshly shooting carrots, basil, mint, cucumbers, tomatoes etc etc have been given up to the gods – AGAIN.

That day 3 weeks ago was the day I decided to leave the Army. I can’t handle farewelling my plants all the time and not having geographical stability. All I want is some chickens and some fruit trees. Mr Stacky could help me realise my goals sooner and provide an easily relocatable solution in the interim.
